As the park returns to its natural state we begin to prepare for next years Moseley Folk Festival!
We would like to thank every single one of you for helping to make this years event a massive success. With arguably the best line up to date, all three days sold out! The atmosphere was electric and the weather was very kind to us!
We will be working hard over the next few months to listen to you all and see how we can make 2012 even better!
We will be announcing how to get involved with the festival next year before the year is out so keep an eye out!
If you have any feedback at all (positive or negative) please feel free to email us as info@moseleyfolk.co.uk
We look forward to your suggestions and hope to welcome you back in 2012

For the 2nd year running we attended on Friday. Great atmosphere, and lovely weather, again. Villagers were excellent and, for us, the real headliners. I felt that Damon Gough (Badly Drawn Boy) was there to have a laugh and take the money. The number of times he asked “how long have I got?” spoke volumes. We left before the end of his set. Neil Hannon wasn’t much better last year and these are two artists I’ve always liked. Not your fault though, and those guys should do right by you. I do feel, however, that the music coming from the “jukebox” tent was at times distracting, and could be heard over the act on the main stage. Not ideal. All in all though an excellent festival and I look forward to seeing who’ll be there next year. Thanks very much.
we had a great time (third visit here)
many thanks & see you in 2012..!
wow we had such a magical weekend. we arrived friday and by the end of the evening our whole lives had gone full circle…lots of little things and clues about our 11 years together…and then all of a sudden we were standing in an almost empty park full of litter hugging our little arms off…we had got engaged completely out of the blue. Badly Drawn Boy was great…so informal, full of humour and raw….just perfect. you could tell he had the crowd in the palm of his hand. just sad we didnt get to stay long on saturday…but we had to go back to a little bit of reality. and to the kids!
thanks moseley…we will be back next year for sure
Hi. Loved the festival – again! Here’s my review: http://bijoupalace.wordpress.com/2011/09/08/hidden-gems-moseley-folk-festival-02-09-04-09/
I have to agree. What an absolutely wonderful event. Hats off to all that staged this festival, you really created something that the Midlands, and more importantly Birmingham, can be mightily proud of. I cannot knock anything about this set up, apart from agreeing with previous posts about Badly Drawn Boy’s attitude – personally think the guy had been flown in and not spent enough time soaking up the atmosphere and kicking back. Beautiful from the Staves to the Bees. I cannot heap enough praise on such a wonderful gathering. Keep it up and I will definitely be back in 2012!
I live about 90 minutes away and only came up for the Saturday but will likely do the whole weekend next year. Wonderful. The antidote to every large, soulless, rip-off gig you’ve ever been to. Friendly folk!
To continue from my earlier comment;
We had a really great time…
The T.shirts were once again excellent,
The programme/cd was a must-have once again.
prices for the above were very fair. Thankfully we only saw a few people smoking during the whole day (sunday) and once again the staff/helpers were excellent.
we enjoyed most of the artists, Skinny lister/the old dance school/calan & eliza carthy band got top marks from us anyway.
The weather held out till BILLY BRAGG came on, but what the heck…
Twaz a great day again, Many thanks… c u next year.?
