VadoinmessicoThe Italian phrase ‘Vadoinmessio’ directly translates as ‘I am in Mexico’ perhaps suggesting a musical journey or transportation, and apparently the sound of the band Vandoinmessico conjures up something akin to a transcendental experience. Their psychedelic folk is filled with sun shine and visions of the Mediterranean. As eclectic as their music, the band’s line-up is an ever changing mixture of Mexican, Austrian and Danish musicians performing with an array of instruments. Having never had a permanent percussion player the band relies of friends to fill in any gaps, and past guest appearances have included Javier Weyler from the Stereophonics. Vadoinmessico cite the early work of Marc Bolan and the Beach Boys as major influences as well as the sounds of their native countries.
