Formed in October 2006, WyreWood are a multi-instrumentalist, multi-national duo (well, Icelandic and British). Together Becki Austen-Brown and Arngeir Hauksson mix medieval and traditional tunes with an unexpected series of loops and funk, salsa, metal, jazz, folk and an experimental 21st century sound – all whilst playing medieval instruments that would have been used back in the 12th century.

WyreWood have recently played at Illustrated London Noise, ICA and supported Circulus at the South Bank Centre.
