2016 Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award winner Bella Gaffney hails from Bradford. She writes folk inspired songs which she performs along with her own original arrangements of traditional pieces.

She has played at a great many folk and music festivals over the last few years, including Celtic Connections, Beverley, HebCelt, ButeFest, Dent,,Holmfirth, Otley, Southwell, BAAFest, & Filey to name just a few. She regularly supports international acts at Bradford’s prestigious folk venue SaltaireLive, and has done the same at a variety of venues around the country.

Bella now also performs with Midlands based band Bric-a-Brac, comprising Chris Elliott, Caitlin Jones, and Heather Sirrel, which is becoming well known and sought after by festivals and folk clubs, and who’s EP “Bits and Pieces” was extremely well reviewed by Yorkshire folk magazine Tykes’ News.  2017 brings the release of her new album “Heaven Knows” in July.
