Dan Walsh and Will Pound @ Moseley Folk Festival

Dan Walsh and Will Pound

Hayseed Dixie’s Don Wesley Reno Jnr. believes Dan Walsh is the UK’s best banjo player, and considering who his dad was he is a man who knows the banjo. Janice Long believes he is ‘incredibly gifted’ and said ‘if anyone has the opportunity to see him, they must’.

Walsh is an eclectic and exciting musician, with a unique performance style that draws upon his diverse influences and blends folk, funk, bluegrass, jazz, rock and even Arabic. Also as a singer and guitarist he has performed all over the UK and his debut album ‘Tomorrow’s Still to Come’ is now available at all major outlets.

Performing alongside Walsh, on harmonica will be Will Pound, one of the most accomplished chromatic and diatonic harmonica players around today. Together he and Walsh have performed on London’s South Bank, at the National Harmonica Festival in Bristol, and on educational projects at the Barbican, where they introduce the joys of folk to young children from a variety of backgrounds.
