Amy Jeffs: Storyland

Amy Jeffs is an art historian specialising in the Middle Ages as well as an artist. In 2019, she gained a PhD in Art History fromCorpus Christi College, Cambridge, having studied for earlierdegrees at the Courtauld Institute of Art and the University ofCambridge. She is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow at the PaulMellon Centre for Studies in British Art.She has researched medieval badges and pilgrim souvenirs at the British Museum and worked in the British Library’s department of Ancient, Medieval and Early Modern manuscripts.Her writing is often accompanied by her own linocut and wood-engraved prints.Amy is a regular contributor toCountry LifeMagazine, and is based in Somerset. Her first book ‘Storyland’ contains¬†gloriously written and illustrated mythology and breathes new life into enduring medieval tales of the British Isles, rooted in our oldest legends and wildest landscapes.
