Boat to Row’s sophomore album, ‘Rivers That Flow in Circles’ sees the band pushing their musical horizons further than ever before, drawing from a broad pallet of sounds and musicians to deliver a record worthy of exploration. Self-produced and recorded in a variety of rehearsal rooms, bedrooms and kitchens, the record delivers the band’s most ambitious songs to date, with the first two singles ‘Spanish Moss’ and ‘On Your Own’, already live favourites, taking the band’s sound into new, unexplored territories.
Alongside releasing their second album, 2019 is a landmark year for Boat to Row as they celebrate a decade of live performance across the UK. The last 10 years have seen the band perform on every type of stage possible, from town halls and festivals, to small clubs, house concerts and even a tree house. Having toured and appeared with the likes of Kate Rusby, Slow Club, Willy Mason, Ryley Walker, Johnny Flynn, as well as on stage at an array of festivals including the legendary Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Green Man and Dot to Dot amongst many others, the band have earned an outstanding live reputation, winning a dedicated fanbase who have supported the release of two albums through crowd funding.
This year the band step back out, ready to deliver an enrapturing set, whatever the setting and the audience.
