Humanity is facing its greatest ever threat. We have levels of carbon dioxide in our atmosphere that have not been seen for three million years. Global carbon emissions have increased by 60% in the last 25 years, the planet is heating up, there are wild fires burning in the Arctic circle and the sixth mass extinction of species is underway.
And yet the political will to meet the inadequate targets agreed by the Paris Climate Agreement is lacking. The first UK parliamentary debate on climate change in three years was held in April; 600 MPs stayed away. Our governments are failing us. It’s time to take matters into our own hands. Come and listen to the climate science and join in a discussion of what we can all do to help save our planet.
