Peggy Seeger – singer, songwriter, feminist, icon, muse – is the undisputed queen of folk and political song. Although in her 80s, her musicianship, charisma and wit remain undiminished.
Not only will Peggy be gracing the Main Stage in a live performance, she will also be doing a Q&A as part of our arts programme. BBC 6 Music’s Stewart Maconie will be leading this intimate Q&A with one of folk music’s legends.
“Peggy may be folk royalty, but there’s nothing either reverent or nostalgic about this joyous and intimate performance” The Guardian
“Glorious” The Times
“Truly joyous” Morning Star
“An effortlessly intimate affair” The Scotsman
“A memorable warm and charming evening of great music,
family humour and grace.” Irish World
